The Sydney School of Entrepreneurship (SSE) is a national, independent not-for-profit organisation. Dedicated to empowering individuals with the skills needed to overcome barriers to employment and education, SSE collaborates with the government, industry professionals and community organisations to deliver tailored, culturally sensitive entrepreneurship education across Australia.

SSE’s programs support diverse communities, including but not limited to First Nation Peoples, those in regional and rural areas, young people, women and girls, and culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities.

The icons above were created in collaboration with our design intern—an abstract conceptualisation of SSE’s values.

As SSE’s sole in-house graphic designer, I manage the company’s entire visual identity, ensuring consistency and innovation across all branding, marketing, printed and digital assets for both internal and external purposes. Collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, I develop design strategies, concepts and materials that align with business goals, ensuring cohesive and impactful visual communication across all platforms.

Recently, I also began visual facilitating in certain workshops. Using live illustration and graphic recording, I capture key ideas in a way that makes information and discussions more engaging, digestible, and enjoyable for participants.

Sub-branding for courses

To strengthen SSE’s brand identity and recognition, I developed a system that allows each program to be a unique yet cohesive extension of the brand. By drawing inspiration from SSE’s core branding and incorporating key elements, I tailor each program’s visual identity to reflect its content and appeal to its target audience. This ensures that every program stands out while maintaining a clear and consistent connection to the SSE family, striking the perfect balance between creativity and brand cohesion.

Below are the summaries of a few Program Style Guides, Program Overviews and flyers I have created.

2023 Annual Report

Centered around the commissioned artwork, ‘Abundance—by Aboriginal artist Charmaine from Mumbulla Creative—I designed the report with the intention to reflect the richness and interconnectedness of our community, while maintaining legibility and visual hierarchy.

Keyword visualisations

Our participants range from high school students to adults running their own businesses, but engaging visuals resonate with everyone. In collaboration with the education department, I conceptualised and created unique illustrations for key terms and phrases frequently used in our educational materials, making the content more visually engaging and accessible. I love being able to utilise my illustration skills whenever possible.
